15th February, what a day
The Valentine's Day Rockfest, it was a blast! 3 o clock, the sound check. Like oh fuck the stage manager, Diana Quek was a pain in the ass. Like for goodness sake i think all the vocalist wasn't used to the sound system and we were still adapting to it. No, i think everyone was still adapting to the sound system there. She stopped every band only after like, the first 30 seconds of the song? I feel like stuffing carrots down her throat every time she criticize the bands. I was cursing her all the way backstage :-/
It was our turn to do the sound check, i seriously feel like throwing the mic at her face when she stopped us. arghhhhh fuck you! I felt like leaving just like that. But for the band, i kept my cool. We did a quick run-through and then we waited till like, 6 30.
The crowd was building up, it was great! I didn't expect that much people to attend the gig. The anticipation was crazy. I felt okay at first but when the gig started and when the first band played, I couldn't sit still. Walked around doing flying kicks, saying hi to random people, going in and out of the toilet, repeating the lyrics over and over again. It was crazy.
And then it was our set, fwhoa power pack kow kow hahah everyone stood up. Managed to get the crowd to the front, played our first song and there was moshing. Indescribable feeling, totally. But i think i went off pitch a couple of times cause i couldn't really hear myself so i tried to sing louder and yeh, zao sia (ugh, embarrassing). But thank god i manage to pull off the screamo part well, phew.
Thanks to all those who came, thanks to all those who support us, thanks for cheering, thanks for moshing, thanks for being such an awesome crowd!
ps: i have a couple of pictures of The Last Avenue, Famous Living Dead and Downfall Misery contact me at patrickeatworld@gmail.com (msn) for the pictures :-)
